Musa Headquarters Office

Located inside a furniture factory surrounded by villages, farmland and fish ponds in Heshan, Guangdong, this 1000 sqm project explores the unique "temporality" of the site and creates a timeless aesthetic across retro and futuristic notions. The renovation connects interior and exterior boundaries with extended eaves, a reflecting pond and a slab bridge entrance. Travertine is adopted as the core material, integrating architecture, space and objects. Serving for office work, reception and brand exhibition, the design prioritizes objects to shape spatial atmosphere. Custom sculptural pieces including hand-carved travertine basin and massive travertine meeting table, paired with artistic lighting installations, build an immersive, narrative workspace with changing views along circulation.

Balance building boundaries and the relationship between public and private zones based on the existing factory structure. Take objects as the core expression of spatial atmosphere to build a timeless aesthetic scene. Combine natural surrounding landscape to create a multi-functional experiential space for work, reception and brand display.

The original building structure is retained, with extended eaves and floor-to-ceiling glass to link inside and outside. A landscape pond and slab bridge are added to strengthen the ritual entrance experience. Travertine is used as primary material, and leftover stone blocks are handcrafted into sculptural furnishings. A meandering circulation is designed to create layered views through interwoven light and sightlines. Multi-purpose hall, looping passage and public bar counter blur functional boundaries, mixing display, reception and communication. Objects are deployed to form a calm and soothing spatial atmosphere.
